Flames of Fashion: The Blonds' Fuego-Inspired NYFW Fall/Winter 2024 Collection

By: Diamond Johnson

The highly anticipated Fall-Winter 2024 collection by fashion designers David and Phillipe Blond debuted at NYFW, celebrating the passionate and vibrant spirit of Latin culture. The show was hosted at the Starrett-Lehigh and featured an electric red setting, perfectly complementing their theme "Fuego." Through this collection, the term "Fuego" was used as a metaphor for the Latin declaration of identity and celebration of life. With family roots in Cuba and the Canary Islands, David Blond's passion for authenticity was perfectly reflected in the collection. "We celebrate the people who dare to be original, unlike anyone and anything else. It's one thing to be inspired, but you've got to be able to create your own path, to go beyond even the unexpected,"he told Forbes.

This dynamic collaboration resulted in a tribute to the glamour and iconic figures of Latin culture, leaving guests in awe. The event was graced by some of the biggest names in the industry, including Becky G, Crystal Waters, Elizabeth Woods, Candice Huffine, Amanda Lepore, Adrienne Bailon-Houghton, Christian Combs, and Aquaria, all of whom were captivated by the collection.
