- Nothing is Impossible on the Runway - The Influence of Out of this World Fashion Designs that are Making an Impact in Fashion Shows
Fashion has always been a playground for innovation, but today's runway shows proves that nothing is impossible when it comes to fashion designs. These designs range from gravity-defying silhouettes to tech-infused garments that glow, shift, or even move. The goal is to aim for making jaws drop that will redefine the industry. The runway is no longer a showcase - it is a revolution. Tailored for Tech - The Evolution of High-Tech Textiles: Step into a realm where fashion defies the ordinary - a world where designers are revolutionizing the runway with next-gen materials straight out of science fiction. From self-repairing textiles that heal with a touch of liquid metal couture that molds to the wearers form to bioengineered silks that shimmer like cosmic dust. It does not just end there; holographic weaves transform garments into living canvases that react to motion and light, bioluminescent threads pulse with celestial energy, and you can drape yourself in liquid crystal textiles that shift hues with a mere thought. Fashion is embracing an interstellar future - where couture is not just worn, it is what you experience. Astro-Aesthetic - The Cosmic Revolution in Beauty & Styling: Prepare to be transported beyond the limits of earthly beauty - where it goes beyond beauty standards that make you feel different. Out of place is the new beautiful as models walk the runway in UV-reactive pigments, their skin glowing like distant galaxies or in cosmic contours, shimmering nebula-toned eyeshadows, and holographic highlighters. But, get this, technology is pushing the boundaries even further with LED-infused hairstyles and motion-sensitive makeup that shifts in response to movement. Designers know no bounds when it comes to their designs while crafting looks that capture the enchanting chaos of the cosmic phenomena with supernova explosions, swirling nebulae, and deep-space wonders. No longer just about aesthetics. these avant-garde beauty trends challenge perceptions of identity and embrace an ethereal vision of the future. Beyond Earth's Pull - Anti-Gravity Couture Takes Flight: The runway is transforming into a gravity-defying spectacle. The galactic galaxy zone is the limit with designers employing the fusion of technology and movement that is birthing anti-gravity creations - where materials levitate, shift dynamically, and push the boundaries of perception. Where movement is just as vital as the fabric itself - floating silhouettes appear suspended in mid air, dresses ripple and shift like weightless celestial waves, and kinetic couture moves organically with the wearer. Fashion is no longer static - it is alive and bending reality, proving that when creativity collides with science, nothing is impossible. Fashion is no longer about turning heads - it is about blowing minds. The runway has transcended into a cosmic playground, where designers are bending reality and creating the impossible. Say goodbye to gravity's out of season styles, and hello to science fiction serving as the blueprint for next season's must-haves. We're living in an era where the runway rivals earth's frontier, and the only rule is to break the rules. In fashion: impossible is just another word for next level.
- From Viral Sensation to Filmmaking Visionary: Tony Talks
Tony Talks (Antonio Baldwin), the comedy content creator with millions of viral views, is taking his talent to the next level with the release of Boss Up: The Musical, his first-ever feature film. Boss Up tells the story of “fabulous and flawless” Cassandra, who, after being fired from her job, embarks on a journey of self-reinvention. The film is funny, poignant, and filled with music (and right now, it’s free to watch on Revry.tv !). Interview By: Claire Brown Photography by: Paris Steward Editor-In-Chief Angel Neal What prompted Tony to take on the challenge of writing, starring in, and funding a full-length film? “It was super, super crazy,” he admits, about making the jump from one-minute content to a 54-minute feature. “I’ve never written an entire movie before.” But after connecting with filmmakers at the Atlanta Film Festival, Tony had a vision for a musical starring Cassandra, one of the recurring characters he portrays on his social media channels. He assembled a team, poured his passion into the script, and brought his vision to life. Tony quickly realized that starring in and producing a long-form film was very different from his usual content creation style for social media. For one thing, it made him slow down. “I’m used to filming something the same day, editing it the next, and then posting it,” he explains. “With a movie, it’s completely different. You have to take your time.” Another difference between film production and content creation? Going from being a mostly solo operator to managing a large cast and crew. “I was managing so many different personalities while also playing the main character,” he says. “It was a learning experience, but I’m such a sponge – I loved it.” As a first-time filmmaker, Tony was intentional about casting actors he had worked with before. “The woman who plays my mom? She gave me one of my very first acting roles in Atlanta,” he shares. “So it was really full-circle to be able to hire her for my project years later.” Tony personally knew almost everyone in the cast and even wrote many of the roles with specific people in mind. “That made the casting process super easy,” he says. At its core, Boss Up: The Musical is about self-discovery. The story follows a powerful woman who loses her job title – an identity-defining role – and has to figure out who she is without it. “I relate to that,” Tony says. “As a content creator, that’s my title. And I didn’t know who I was without it.” He believes the film’s themes resonate universally. “So many people are walking around as their job occupations,” he says. “When we lose our jobs, it sends us spiraling, like, ‘Who am I now?’” While the story could have taken a dramatic turn, Tony stayed true to his comedic roots. “I wanted to tell it in a way that was funny, with music and jokes,” he explains. Despite not being a trained singer or dancer, Tony was drawn to the musical format. “I genuinely love musicals,” he says. “Music heals the world,” he adds. “If you can tell a message through music successfully, that’s powerful.” And Tony isn’t done with musicals just yet. “The next film I make is going to be a musical too,” he reveals. His advice for other content creators looking to transition into filmmaking? “Learn how to work in teams and don’t be afraid to wear the hats you need to wear.” Looking back, Tony says he would step more into his role as an executive producer. “I was a little shy,” he admits. “I didn’t want to boss anyone around, but in certain parts, I needed to.” He sees that experience as a valuable learning curve for future projects. While Boss Up: The Musical marks a bold new step in Tony Talks’ career, it’s clear this is just the beginning! To stay up with all things Tony Talks follow him here: @iamtonytalks !

- TRUTH IN THE EYE OF THE BEHOLDER: The Accused on BET+ Breaks Boundaries and Redefines Justice
Words By Angel Neal Images by BET+ In a world where truth can be twisted and betrayal hides behind a friendly smile, The Accused —now streaming on BET+—is a gripping thriller that challenges what we think we know about innocence, loyalty, and the cost of uncovering the truth. At the heart of the film is Dani , a brilliant plant geneticist whose world is turned upside down when she’s wrongfully accused of her fiancé’s murder. Armed only with her gut instinct, sharp intellect, and unwavering will to survive, Dani goes on the run, determined to prove her innocence. The film keeps viewers on the edge of their seats as she uncovers layer after layer of deception. It's compelling. It's strategic. And it reminds us that sometimes, truth is in the eye of the beholder . Produced by Worldwide Entertainment and Media and Choice Films for BET+, with producers Pierre Romain, Julie Solinger, Summer Crockett Moore, and Tony Glazer, and executive produced by Jason Harvey, The Accused offers more than just suspense—it offers perspective. Disrupshion Magazine caught up briefly with the cast and had a chance to speak with Rockmond Dunbar, who plays Marcus Wainwright , a scientist who’s committed to giving back to the community and standing by what’s right—until he discovers a deadly secret that seals his fate. Though his screen time is short, his character's impact is powerful. When asked about Marcus’s role in the larger themes of truth and justice, Dunbar shared: “If you believe in the truth, you’ll sacrifice your body—but that doesn’t mean you’ll sacrifice your soul. Truth should live 100% of the time. It’s the internal conflict of every human being trying to do the right thing. You have to believe that you’re going to win through all odds.” That statement hits at the core of what The Accused is really about: the tension between doing what's right and the price you pay for it. The film explores the duality of human nature—how someone you trust implicitly can turn out to be your worst enemy. The betrayal cuts deep, and in Dani’s case, it becomes the catalyst for a high-stakes journey filled with twists and moral complexity. There’s vengeance, but there’s also teamwork—an underlying message that justice isn’t just served by one person’s actions, but by those who choose to stand up and do what’s right, even when it’s dangerous. The Accused doesn’t just entertain—it provokes. It forces us to question who we trust and why, and what we’re willing to risk in pursuit of justice. Stream it now on BET+, and ask yourself—what would you do if the truth could cost you everything? @worldwidentertainmentandmedia @TheJamisonAgency @BetPlus Hashtags: #TheAccused #Worldwideentertainmentandmedia #TheJamisonAgency #BetPlus

- Manifesting the Dream: Kordell Beckham Opens Up in His Most Honest Interview Yet
Kordell Beckham's journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. Since winning Season 6 of Love Island USA , he has navigated the transition from reality TV to the glamorous world of fashion, runway shows, and brand partnerships. His meteoric rise has left fans and critics alike in awe, but for Kordell, it’s been a dream come true. WORDS BY ANGEL NEAL PHOTOGRAPHY MALIZEE WILSON STYLIST ANGEL NEAL CREATIVE DIRECTOR MARTY MCFRESH STYLIST ASSISTANTS ANTHONY MUNDLE, TERRA ATKINS, AND CAYLA BAEZ Reflecting on his journey, Kordell shared, “Man, my journey has been insane. I’ve been making my dreams come true. I’ve been completing goals, from my most wanted deals to walking on the runway, to even making it in Vogue —that’s pretty insane. My whole life has been a 360 or 180, whichever one you want to spin, whichever way.” But even with the spotlight on him, Kordell has never lost sight of the importance of authenticity. “For me, it’s very important, because it’s like, if you’re not being yourself, who are you trying to impress?” he says. “You don’t have to put on this facade to impress anyone. If they don’t like you for you, they just don’t like you. That’s something I stand by in both my personal life and in front of the camera.” Being a role model has taken on a new meaning since Kordell made history as part of the first Black couple to win Love Island USA. “Man, that’s history right there,” Kordell says, still in disbelief about the moment. “When they say that no fully Black couple has ever won the show, it’s crazy to me. I think about it every day.” Navigating the pressures of fame while staying true to himself hasn’t been easy, but Kordell stays grounded by focusing on his goals. “I stay focused on what I want to do. I know what to do, what to say, and what not to say. If you drown out the negativity and keep the positive side going, it’s easy to stay focused,” he explains. “It was a bit of a shock when everything started happening so quickly, but I’m staying motivated.” The quiet moments backstage at New York Fashion Week showcased a different side of Kordell. “I was just observing everything. There was a lot going on. I was nervous, but I was also excited,” he admits, revealing the calm behind the scenes as he took it all in. As Kordell’s career continued to evolve, he dove into the world of modeling. “The transition from reality TV to modeling has been surprising. I started out modeling, but now I’m walking in bigger shows, like Fashion Week,” he says. “It’s been insane—coming from the island to high-profile gigs. I’m excited to see where it takes me.” Beyond the runway, Kordell’s aspirations are expanding into acting. “I’m working on my craft. Even if I don’t get the role, I want to make sure I’m on their mind for future roles,” he says, emphasizing his desire to break into the world of movies, especially action and drama. “I want to be a Marvel character. I’ll do my own stunts, no doubt.” His personal style is another testament to his growth. Kordell’s fashion has evolved from high school to college, and now, collaborating with stylist Marty, he’s found a unique blend of streetwear and prep. “It started in college when I mixed street with preppy. Then, Marty and I started working together, creating pieces that represent both of us,” he shares. When asked about his future in fashion, Kordell reveals, “I’m definitely still working on my own clothing line. I’ve been meeting with manufacturers, and it’s going to take time, but it’ll be worth it.” A visionary at heart, Kordell sees this as the next step in his journey. His influence has also extended to brand partnerships with major names like Samsonite, Target, and Liquor IV. But Kordell isn’t about taking just any deal. He ensures the partnerships align with his values. “The first thing I do is read the contract twice. I want to make sure that everything feels authentic to me,” he says. “I don’t want to sound like a robot or just do something for the money. If it doesn’t feel right, I’ll speak up.” Kordell’s commitment to giving back remains unwavering. He’s dedicated to serving as a positive role model and working with children in his community. “I love giving back to kids. Even if they don’t know who I am, I just love seeing the smiles on their faces,” he says. “I’m going to Dallas soon to do more work with kids, just because it makes their day brighter.” He’s also involved in his family’s business—Odell Beckham’s grooming line. “Yeah, I’m still working on my beard game,” Kordell laughs. “We’ve got some new things in the works, so I’m excited to see where it goes.” In addition to all of his ventures, Kordell has big plans for the future. “I want to align myself with more Black-owned businesses. I’m trying to break into movies, to be a superhero. But I also want to work with brands that I believe in and that represent who I am,” he says. “You have to speak things into existence, and that’s what I’m doing.” Success, to Kordell, isn’t defined by fame alone. “There are different types of success. You can have success in business, in your personal life, or even in a quiet, meaningful way. Success is about doing what makes you happy and making sure your actions align with your goals,” he shares thoughtfully. As he continues to build his empire, Kordell’s message is clear: “Never settle. Keep going, keep pushing, and don’t live in anyone’s shadow. Listen to your intuition. If something feels right, go for it.” With so many projects in the works and his sights set on even bigger goals, Kordell Beckham is proving that his journey is just beginning. His authenticity, drive, and commitment to lifting others will surely leave a lasting impact for years to come. - From Finding Her Voice to the Red Carpet: Michelle Nunez, A Star on the Rise
Michelle Nuñez is a multifaceted actress, artist, and mental health advocate. As an Afro-Dominican American, her diverse background, coupled with her exposure to various cultures, has enriched her artistic perspective and influenced her career in the entertainment industry. Maintaining an active lifestyle and practicing mindfulness and meditation contribute to personal and work-life balance. A woman of faith, love, and enjoyment of expression, Michelle has emerged into the industry and captivated her audience. Photographer : Storm Santos Words Antoinette Ford Stepping onto the red carpet at the NAACP Image Awards is always a significant moment, but for this rising star, it was also a moment of pivotal transformation. When asked about how her breathtaking red carpet look came together, she shared how she initially resisted wearing a dress. "I had a little bit in mind," she admits when asked about her stunning look for the event. "I'm not a big dress person—I usually lean toward suits or chic pants and a nice top. But my stylist, Tabitha Sanchez, had other ideas." The search for the perfect dress was a whirlwind. "I remembered seeing Zendaya in a yellow dress at an event and told my stylist, 'Let's try a yellow dress.' " After a few hiccups—including one that was five sizes too big—the fashion gods delivered. "Tabitha, my stylist, pulled out this stunning Vivienne Westwood dress. We tried it on, and it fit perfectly—like it was meant to be." With just a few alterations, the look was complete, and she walked the carpet in a gown that was both comfortable and elegant. As a proud Dominican American, she was deeply moved by Zoe Saldana’s historic Oscar win. "My mom texted me, freaking out! It was such a powerful moment, not just for Zoe but for our entire community. She’s paved the way for so many of us. Someone told me recently, ‘Some women run so that we can walk,’ and that’s exactly what Zoe has done." Photographer : Storm Santos While Hollywood is making strides in diversity, she acknowledged that there is still work to be done. "This was such a powerful moment—not just for her but for all of us who are coming up in the industry."Born into a military family, she moved frequently, living in places as diverse as Germany, Texas, and New York City. "It was tough leaving friends behind, but it made me great at making new ones. The flip side? I struggled with keeping friends and finding that sense of rootedness." Now, living in Los Angeles, she sees how those experiences shaped her. "I learned to embrace different cultures and appreciate every individual’s journey. That’s why I’m so vocal about human rights—because at the end of the day, we’re all just people trying to find our way." Beyond acting, her artistic passions span storytelling, music, and activism. "True artists often struggle with existentialism—think Van Gogh, Kurt Cobain, Amy Winehouse. There’s a deep understanding that life is both beautiful and excruciating. That duality fuels my art." As she embarks on a music career, she’s learning to embrace her voice in a new way. "This past summer, I was scared to even sing in front of my boyfriend. Now, I have four recorded songs and a growing confidence in sharing my art." " Photographer : Storm Santos It’s about vulnerability, about standing tall with no shame." Fans of Ruthless have seen her character evolve from a woman ruled by fear to one who commands power. "In Season 1, she was hesitant, trying to find the good in a dark place. But by Season 3, after being forced to take a life to prove loyalty, she realized the only way to survive was to play the game. Now, she’s fearless." Does that journey reflect real life? Absolutely. "Finding your voice is universal—whether it’s escaping a toxic situation or stepping into your power. It’s about embracing your truth."The Ruthless cast is more than just co-stars. "We’re family. Melissa, who plays Ruth, is grounding. Matt, who plays The Highest, has this incredible ability to balance villainy with vulnerability. That’s what makes his portrayal so compelling."Working under Tyler Perry’s high-pressure, fast-paced production style has sharpened her craft. "We often get one take, maybe two. You have to show up prepared and trust your instincts. It’s intense but incredibly rewarding." Photograph : Storm Santos With Ruthless continuing to captivate audiences and a music career on the horizon, she’s stepping into her power like never before. "I’m making my own lane, my own table. And if that inspires others to do the same, then I’ve done something right." One thing’s for sure—this star is just getting started. Marvella Akiojano’s rise from a teenager experimenting with her mother’s makeup to one of the most influential voices in beauty and fashion is a story of resilience, authenticity, and unwavering dedication. Today, with a thriving presence on Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok, Marvella has not only built a loyal following but also launched her own cosmetics brand, Marviano Cosmetics. In this interview, she opens up about her journey, the lessons she’s learned, and how she continues to stay true to herself while navigating the world of influencer culture and entrepreneurship. Photographer Tolulope Gangbo Words by Angel Neal Marvella’s fascination with beauty began long before the world knew her name. “Honestly, I started off just planning my mom’s makeup,” she recalls with a smile. “As a kid back in Nigeria, when you’re doing that and wearing makeup at such a young age, people side-eye your parents. But my parents let me express myself with beauty and fashion, and they traveled a lot with me. London, especially, opened my eyes to the global world of fashion, beyond Lagos.” Her early exposure to different cultures fueled her creative energy, eventually leading her to explore platforms like Vine and Musically, where she initially started by making lip-sync videos. But the real turning point came when Musically evolved into TikTok. "That’s when I started doing makeup tutorials,” she says. “I began on YouTube, doing wig videos, makeup looks – and that’s how the evolution of 'Marvella' began." What started as a journey of sharing lip syncs, dancing, and beauty tutorials quickly transformed into a full-fledged career. "I started as a dancer, then I moved to wig videos on YouTube, followed by makeup tutorials. Now, I do it all,” she explains. "I just kept experimenting, trying new things, and seeing what resonated with my audience.” Building a brand isn’t without its challenges, and Marvella has faced her fair share of obstacles. "I remember being stuck at 50k followers for the longest time," she confesses. “It would go down to 48k, then 49k, then back to 50k. It was frustrating. At one point, I wanted to delete my Instagram account because it wasn’t growing.” Instead of giving up, she doubled down on consistency. “I made a promise to myself – I would post every single day for an entire year. I figured, if I gave it everything I had, it might change the algorithm, and it worked.” She encourages others to push through those moments of doubt, saying, “Give yourself one more chance, even when you feel like giving up. Your breakthrough might be right around the corner.” In the world of influencer marketing, staying authentic is key. But how does Marvella maintain her connection with her audience while working with brands? “I’m very selective about the brands I work with. I don’t promote products that don’t fit my values or that don’t work for me,” she says firmly. “I’ve turned down collaborations because a product didn’t align with what I stand for. Integrity is important, and not all money is good money.” She continues, “It’s also about filming when I feel my best. When I’m in front of the camera, I want to be excited to share what I’m creating. It’s about being genuine and letting that energy come through.” Marvella’s content is a mix of beauty tips, travel stories, and personal moments. When asked how she balances sharing personal experiences while maintaining a professional brand, she answers, “I believe everything is content. I’ll record whatever I’m doing, even if it’s just a casual moment. I’m always thinking about how I can turn a moment into something relatable for my audience.” She adds, “I don’t have to balance the content I share. I just live my life, and my audience follows along. If they see me having fun or trying something new, they’re part of that journey with me.” The beauty industry was always in Marvella’s heart, but creating her own line, Marviano Cosmetics, has been a game-changer. Her recent lip liner and gloss collection, especially the Brick Mocha shade, has been a huge hit, selling out in just one week. “The key to our success is solving a problem,” she explains. “Brick Mocha is our darkest brown shade, and I’ve always struggled with lip liners that don’t last all night. I noticed it wasn’t just me – my friends were constantly reapplying their lip liner throughout the night. So, I went into research mode, and Marviano was born.” She goes on, “It’s been surreal to see people embracing Marviano. I’m not crazy – people actually care about these problems I’m solving. It’s not just a product; it’s a solution.” With her background in marketing, Marvella is determined to make Marviano Cosmetics stand out in a competitive industry. “I didn’t want to skyrocket the prices. I focused on quality rather than just aesthetics,” she says. “That’s the beauty of having a marketing degree – I can blend traditional marketing methods with what I know works on social media.” And despite her rapid growth, she remains humble and committed to her values. “I want to show my African sisters that greatness is possible for us too. We don’t have to fit into a box. You can be financially free and successful, no matter where you come from.” For those looking to break into the beauty or fashion space, Marvella’s advice is clear: “Stay true to yourself. You don’t have to fit the mold. Consistency is key, and don’t be afraid to bet on yourself. Trust that God has given you the talents you need to succeed.” Reflecting on her own journey, she says, “Five or six years ago, I posted a YouTube video where I had $20 in my backpack, dreaming of working with big brands. Look at me now – working with them. You can do it, too.” The future for Marviano Cosmetics is bright. Marvella is already looking to expand her product line with new lip glosses and perhaps even venture into fashion. “I would love to collaborate with a fashion brand on a collection,” she shares. “I originally wanted Marviano to be a handbag brand, but I knew my audience wasn’t ready for that. So, we’re sticking with makeup for now, but you never know what the future holds.” As for her personal goals, she’s already thinking about giving back to her community. “I hope to host a brand trip for my Marviano dolls,” she says. “It’s all about uplifting and inspiring the next generation of content creators.” “I want to use my influence to uplift women all around the world,” she says, “to show them that they can be themselves and get paid for it.” Her mission is clear – to inspire others to chase their dreams and to never stop believing in their own potential. In the end, Marvella Akiojano is more than just an influencer or a beauty mogul; she’s a role model, showing the world that with hard work, authenticity, and a little faith, anything is possible.
